Custodial business

Guest post written by Derick Burks

A friend of mine used to work at the school where I work. He was the head custodian. A while back he decided that he wanted to go into business for himself. So he started his own custodial business out of a small warehouse in Brooklyn. He is really good at what he does and gets work from many of the offices downtown. The business has done so well that he has hired quite a few people as custodians, and he has also had to hire an office staff to take care of the business side. He got his phones and internet set up through which is set up in a way that as the business grows he won’t have to get a lot of other technological upgrades to expand. He has talked for a long time about me coming to work for his business. He wants me to run his office. It has grown so much that he needs someone that has experience in running an office that he knows he can trust no matter what. I told him that I would consider his offer and let him know by next week. My feeling is that this will be a great opportunity for me to work in a new environment and get me out of the place I have been stuck in so long.
